Your writing

Your idea, selected options and any imported text are assembled in your browser and sent to our server-side generation function. The function sends that brief to Google's Gemini API. A revision also sends the current draft and your revision instructions. We do not save briefs or stories in our usage database. The current story stays in this browser tab and is cleared when you reload or close it; downloaded files stay wherever you save them.

The model provider

This service currently uses Gemini's unpaid API quota. Google states that input and generated responses from unpaid services are used to provide and improve its products and may be reviewed by people. Do not submit personal, confidential or sensitive information. See Google's Gemini API terms for the provider's data practices.

Daily usage limits

Cloudflare supplies the requesting IP address to our function. For rate limiting, the function hashes that address together with the current UTC date and stores the resulting identifier and date in Cloudflare D1. It does not store the raw IP address in that database. Generation and revision attempts that reach the model count toward the daily limits, including failed attempts. Older daily counter rows are deleted when a later request runs. People sharing an IP address share the per-IP limit.

Hosting and analytics

Cloudflare hosts this site and processes requests to deliver and protect it. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page visits and performance. We do not install other analytics services. The analytics beacon is separate from the story-generation request.

Contact email

If you email us, your message and address will be processed by Cloudflare Email Routing and forwarded to our Google mailbox. Please do not send payment details, passwords or API credentials.

Advertising

No third-party advertising is installed now. We plan to add third-party advertising in the future. Before doing so, we will update this policy to describe the actual providers, data use and any required consent choices.
